Human Pathogens
Public Health Agency of Canada controls the importation
of human pathogens into Canada:
permits are required for the importation of all
infectious materials at Level 2 or higher
Permits for human pathogens may be obtained from:

Animal Pathogens
Canadian Food and Inspection Agency (CFIA) controls the
importation of animal pathogens into Canada:
permits are required for the importation of all animal
pathogens including materials of animal origins
which contain animal pathogens
