Secure the clamp on the collection flask, and secure the bump trap
Always wear PPE
Don’t used damaged glassware; check glassware for chips and cracks
Adjust rotation and vacuum gradually
Use in well ventilated area
Familiarize yourself with the risks of your chemicals
Never evaporate explosive compounds such as small azides, peroxides, or
ethers in presence of peroxides
Always wear safety glasses
Make sure the bath won’t overflow when the flask is submerged
Set water bath at moderate temp (40 C), be careful to not accidently to adjust
Do not use a machine with frayed wires
Do not touch any of the rotating parts while in use
Tie hair back and keep sleeves away from rotating parts
