Consultation LG members 2 papers
in November 2006

Both papers follow up LG discussions in New
York, 2006 and comments received from
electronic consultation
Goal: to achieve common understanding about
the LG’s new governance structure and its
role In the SEEA revision process
Outcome consultation
1. LG governance structure
–Mandate of the London Group remained
unchanged
–First history of LG and then introduction of the
UNCEEA
– Overlap with ‘revision paper’, was removed
(role LG in the SEEA revision)
– Discussion was made more general in terms
of governance structure
Outcome consultation
2. Revision SEEA and role LG
– More discussion on a statistical standard (UN will
provide further guidance)
– More emphasis put on feasibility, priority setting,
doing what is absolutely necessary
– Importance of time series
