Bandwidth KR
Jackson Brastow & Thomas Henscheid-Castle
Purpose
To investigate whether Bandwidth
Knowledge of Results (KR) during
observation of a model performance
enhances motor skill learning
Methods
Two Groups of 28:Yoked and Bandwidth
Bandwidth given KR after select results,
Yoked given results “Randomly”
4 Stages: Pretest (18 Trials w/o KR),
Second Stage (72 observation trials with
select or “Random” KR), Third Stage (18
trials w/o KR), Fourth Stage (18 Trials w/o
KR)
Key Results
Bandwidth KR enabled that group to
reduce its performance variability and, to
a lesser extent, to enhance its
performance accuracy.
Real World Applications
Track & Field- Shot-put, Discus, Hammer,
Javelin
Power Lifting- Olympic Clean and Jerk
