Development of Flood Detector System Using Microcontroller Zainah Md. Zain and M.N.M.Khalid The 5th Student Conference on Research and Development –SCOReD 2007 11-12 December 2007, Malaysia Adviser : Yih-Ran Sheu Student : Cheng-Hsiung Lin SN:MA020210 outline Abstract Introduction SYSTEM DESIGN AND DESCRIPTION CONCLUSION REFERENCES Abstract The first part is involving the development of the system that capable to detect water level. The second part is the development of the system that can process the value that has been collected to the water deepness level. The third part is about the system that will modulate the signal that has been collected from the process system in second part and it will transmit the modulated signal through the antenna. INTRODUCTION1/3 The rainy season might destroy human lives and things that are valuable to us. It happens when the water level increase to the danger level under controlled. This situation can avoid by informed the authority earlier that the water level increased under controlled. To achieve this goal, two choices can be used. Each methodical have their benefits and weaknesses. INTRODUCTION2/3 INTRODUCTION3/3 The overall flood detector system design consists of hardware design and software development. The most important hardware design is a microcontroller board that used to control the whole system and the transmitter and receiver module that used to send and collect the data. The flood detector system is divided into four major modules. SYSTEM DESIGN AND DESCRIPTION 1/8 Water level sensor is the important part of device in this project. It used to sense the level of water in the river. This sensor can detect high and low level of the water. Air was used as the medium to send the data from transmitter module to the receiver module.
