ax + bx + c when a = 1
Factoring a trinomial:
ax2 + bx + c when a = 1
1. Draw an X.
2. In the top of the X write the value of c (the
constant).
3. In the bottom of the X write the value of b
(the coefficient of x).
4. Now find two values that multiply together to
get c and add together to get b. One value
goes in the left and the other in the right of
the X.
