Status of Analyses


Two ABAQUS load cases have been added (at request of
Professor) since last progress report: 2D AGMA Gear
Bending and 2D AGMA Contact Stress.
With the exception of the above analyses, all other
analyses are complete.


Mesh convergence studies still need to be completed.
Stress distributions and data for the various analyses are
shown in the next slides.

Status of the Report

All sections of the report are complete except:



ABAQUS Analysis for 2D Bending and 2D contact
Data comparison for the above analyses
The report needs polishing (Figure and Table numbers,
proofreading, formatting, etc.)

Final Stages




The additional 2D analyses, as well as mesh convergence
studies will be completed by the middle of next week
(07/31)
Preliminary Final Report posted tonight (Updates folder,
with ppt)
Files in web portfolio will be cleaned up tonight: analysis
files updated, outdated files deleted
After comments are provided for the Preliminary Final
Report, polishing and page binding will be completed.
