About Temple College
Founded in 1926, Temple College is one of the oldest public community
colleges in Texas. It was originally located in the basement of Temple High
School, and enrolled less than one hundred students. Today, TC is located
on a modern 106 acre campus, with off-site centers in Taylor, Cameron,
and downtown Temple. Enrollment for the Fall 2005 semester was more
than 3,900 credit students.
Always known for its excellent faculty and general academic programs, TC has
also gained a statewide reputation for its programs in the Health
Professions and the Fine Arts, as well as for its numerous credit and noncredit programs addressing the training and educational needs of business

Temple College has recently been awarded a federal grant to implement a new
Bioscience program, an exciting program to supplement the growing Health
