– Opening statement/Introduction
– 10-15 Questions for opponents- without yes/no
or what if questions
– Rebuttals-possible response to opponent’s
comments
– Closing statement/Summarizer
Prior to the Debate
• Everyone must know the material—BE
PREPARED
– If a group member is absent the debate will go
on without them
• Determine who will be the:
– Opener
– Lead debater
– Summarizer
