The Rome Seminar is the last stage in the project on “The Participation of Libyan Women
in the Country’s Pacification and Reconstruction Process”, which has been promoted by
Minerva with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International
Cooperation. During these months the work of bilateral cooperation has generated a network
of relations with huge representation of the world of Libyan women, with the aim of
encouraging and consolidating new channels of dialogue with them, and with Italy, Europe
and the International Community, as well as enforcing and insisting on the appeals of UN
Resolution 1325/2000, giving a voice to the Libyan women of National Dialogue, Members
of Parliament and representatives of associations and forums in civil society, and recognizing
their contribution in contributing to the democratic pacification of the crisis in Libya, which
affects security and peace in the Mediterranean.
