Wouter Jansen (1972, Amsterdam, The Netherlands) graduated from the Dutch Film and Television Academy in Film
Editing and Sound Engineering (1992-1996), after studying Sound Engineering at the Santbergen Media Institute in
Hilversum in 1991, which was preceded by grammar school in Amsterdam (1984-1990).
In his capacity as film editor, he has worked on numerous feature films and television series with several acclaimed
directors – Threes Anna, Norbert ter Hall, Nicole van Kilsdonk, Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen, Peter de Baan,
Simone van Dusseldorp, Theo van Gogh – and both national and international production companies.
In 2004 he started his own company in film editing, based in Amsterdam. He is co-founder and board member of the
Netherlands Association of Cinema Editors (NCE), member of the European Film Academy (EFA) and he is a regular
guest teacher at the Dutch film school.
