“Modelling systematic effects in 21cm observations”
Abstract:
"With observations starting to set meaningful upper limits on the 21cm signal, the requirement for
simulating instrumental systematics with greater precision is now more urgent. I will describe a
formalism that allows to simulate the effect of polarization leakage in the 21cm power spectrum and
present end-to-end simulations tailored to the Precision Array to Probe the Epoch
of Reionization (PAPER). I will conclude with discussing our this work can be extended and applied to
future experiments."
