USEFULL PROPERTIES OF DISAGGREGATE MODELING (SPEARS 1979)
•Disaggregate models are based on theories of individual behaviour
• These models are probabilistic
• The explanatory variables included in the model can have explicitly estimated
variables
• Given option is a function of their socio-economic characteristics and the
relative attractiveness of the option
• There are alternatives or option available to the decision-maker
• Each option has distinctive attributes wherein cost and benefits can be
measured
THE STUDY AREA
The chosen study area is Brgy. San Joaquin, Pasig City
CRITERIA FOR CHOOSING A STUDY AREA
• Must be a residential area
• Must have Jeepney Operation nearby
• A Pasig River Ferry Station must be near the area
THE STUDY AREA
SAN JOAQUIN FERRY STATION
BRGY. SAN JOAQUIN PASIG CITY
JEEPNEY OPERATION

respondents and household to be surveyed
Sloven’s formula :
SS =
N
1 + (Ne)
Where:
N = Total
Population
e = marginal error
= 5%
Number of Household NH
NH =
2518
1 + ( 2518 x .05 )
NH = 345
