VISION & STRATEGY
PERFORMANCE
The philosophy that shapes the Vision Strategy and Priorities (VSP)
for England Handball is:
Athlete Centred – Development Driven – Competition Supported
Athlete Centred
Where the needs of each individual are assessed and a
differentiated programme of activity is put in place
over a given time period
Development Driven
Where the focus for the programme is on personal
development and progression for the athlete
Competition Supported
Where athletes are involved in competition that
provides stretch and challenge. Competition that
complements and supports the development
programme
