The intensive development of sciences,
industry and chemistry in the 20th century has
made the pollution of our environment a global
problem which must be solved by all means.
 More
and more cars and trucks add
their bad breath to the air.
Water pollution.
 Often,
companies dump chemical
wastes into water.
 Dirty
water of lakes and rivers harms
plants and all the creatures that live
there.
Poisons in food.
 Farmers
often spray chemicals on
crops to protect them against pests.
 Pesticides
often end up in food and
can cause health problems.
Acid rain
Acid rain falls
and harms
rivers, lakes,
plants and all
living creatures
that need them.

Littering
Pollution with radioactive
substances.

As a result of Chernobyl tragedy about 18% of the territory
of Belarus and Ukraine was polluted with radioactive
substances.

people’s health.



radiation.
We try to make our
native place safe and
clean.
The Astrakhan State Reserve.

nature of the delta of the Volga
is unique and unusual.

boars, foxes, otters, recons,
mush-rats live here.
The Reserve is famous for Lotos.
The Russian sturgeon is the most valuable fish in
the Caspian Sea.

I am a manager of the fish-breeding factory.
 We
produce young fish of sturgeon
in our factory.
 Special
ships bring our fish to the
northern part of the Caspian Sea and
let them go.
Students of school №1
work on some
environmental projects.
We take part in a project called «Nature Is Asking for
Help». We gather litter and try to make our village clean
 We
want our school yard to be the
most wonderful place in our village.
Members of «the Blue Patrol» save thousands of young fish every year.
We are rooting
for our Earth.
We love our
home planet.
We must leave
it clean and
healthy for
next
generations.
