Instructors for Outreach Programs
Lou Goldish, Senior Venture Advisor
Lou Goldish is responsible for intake of new ventures at MIT VMS. He was a founder and Managing
Director of the consulting firm Data and Strategies Group and spent 35 years as a management
consultant to corporations offering industrial, commercial, and technology based products and
services. Prior to joining MIT he was Relationship Manager for a leading supplier of management
software for very large databases and data-based enterprise systems. Goldish received a BS degree in
Mechanical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology and MS degrees in both Mechanical
Engineering and Management from MIT.
Kent Summers, Mentor
Kent Summers currently serves as Managing Partner with PCA, a management consulting firm
located in Boston, MA. companies. Kent began his career on Wall Street as a Program Trader on
the Options Trading desk at Bear Stearns & Co., and later, a Technology Analyst at EJV Partners
LLC. A graduate from the University of Houston (BA English), Kent is a co-founding member of the
World-Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Technical Advisory Board (MIT 1994). Mr. Summers is a Board
Member and advises a number of early-stage software companies in the Boston area
