전력설비의 품질 확보를 위하여 설계, 제작, 시공, 시험, 검사, 운전, 보수 등에
필요로 하는 기술 및 제도적인 요건을 국내 산업실정을 반영하여 개발된

개발배경
- 정부의 전력산업 기술자립 정책 일환으로 개발 착수(1987년)
- 국내 기준에 의한 표준화로 전력설비 안전성 및 경제성 향상
- 설계 및 제작 기술 축적으로 국산화 제고와 국제경쟁력 확보
개발대상 : 표준형 전력설비 적용 외국표준
- 원자력발전소 : 한빛 3∙4호기, 한울 3∙4호기
- 화력발전소 : 태안 1∙2호기
개발방법
- 제도적 사항 : 참조표준을 국내 실정에 맞도록 수정(MOD)
- 기술적 사항 : 참조표준과 동일(IDT)하게 개발하고,
단계적으로 국내 기술을 반영하여 수정 (MOD)
※ MOD : Modified, IDT : Identical

Ⅱ. KEPIC 화재분야 개발현황
개발배경
- 하나의 발전소 화재방호에 원자력법, 소방법 등에서 규정하고 있는 유사한 기준의
- 동시 적용에 따른 이해 혼선 해소
- 이해 혼선에서 초래되는 인허가 지연 및 과도설계 등에 의한 비용 증가요인 제거
- 설계의 통일성/일관성에 의한 표준화로 유지보수 효율성 제고와 화재안전 확보
개발방법
- 국내 원자력발전소 화재방호의 적용 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여 원전 화재방호 요건

및 관련 소방시설의 설비, 설치, 유지 등의 소방대상물에 대하여 외국 참조표준
