IDP & Budget Steering Committee Inputs for 1st Draft
Budget & IDP
• Out of the all the positions which were submitted for
filling in the financial year 2010/11 the following
positions (see the attached List for 2010/11) were
provided for in the budget submitted.
• The filling of the positions is planned in the months from
October, January and March in the financial year
2010/11. This was done to cut on the operation budget.
However Office space remains a challenge if we do not
move to Cornelia Offices.
• See the attached list of positions and months planned for
filling.

• The naming of positions for Managers other than
Section 57 Managers will still be benchmarked with other
Municipalities
• Together with Traffic Unit in terms of rankings/ reporting
Levels .
• The salary budget include the absorption of Ward
officers since in on the table for discussions.
• The naming of ward officer will change to Ward Admin
Assistant.
