How I acquired my Internship




Introduced through a contact at my
previous job
Spoke with the Lunds on the phone
and through e-mail
They were willing to take on an
intern
Moved down to La Cygne one week
after the semester finished
My Employers
Brad and Amy Lund


Brad is an AQHA Professional Horseman and
Team Wrangler member
Both Brad and Amy have had many winnings at
the AQHA world show , as well as train youth for
the world show
Lund Quarter Horses




Includes breeding facility, raise and train colts, train roping
and working cow horses, and an equine aquatred therapy
center
Located on 80 acres with 27 box stalls as well as paddocks
and runs, two round pens, an indoor arena, and a large
outdoor arena
Stand AQHA Champion, World Champion, and 2005 Super
Horse With All Probability
Competition: Trainers and breeders in the roping and
working cow horse industry

Equine Aquatred and Game Ready systems
 Therapy and care of injured horses
Breeding:
 Palpation and ultra sounding, preparation
of the mare for breeding
 Semen collection and preparation
 Artificial insemination; embryo flushing
Training Roping and Working cow horses
Necropsy, treating sick horses, foaling care
