THE LAND
• The west has a very
famous mountain called
Mount McKinley.
• 2,000 miles southeast of
Mount McKinley lies dry
valley.That place is
normally sizzling in the
sun and is the lowest point
in North America.
LANDFORMS AND CLIMATE
• In the west they haves
things called faults.Faults
are the cracks in the Earth
where the plates in the
Earth meet.
• The west has many
volcanoes. Volcanoes are
places that the lava in the
Earth blows out and
causes mass destruction.

WESTERN VEGETATION AND
WILDLIFE
• A lot of different animals
or plants have a different
habitat (a habitat is a
place where a certain kind
of animal or plant lives)
because some animals and
plants need warm weather
(like the Hawaiian
honeycreepers) and some
need cold weather (like
the snowy owl).
• A lot of the ones that live
in warm weather live in a
place that is a thick
WSTERN CLIMATES
• The Western Region
can have any
temperature.It has the
wettest place and the
driest place in the
country!One city
normally has the most
sun in the world!
