beginning January 2006
•
Opportunity to choose a plan, based on
needs.

Extra help for those with limited income
Medicare Prescription
Drug Benefit (Part D)
•
Open to anyone in Part A or Part B
•
Enrollment begins November 15, 2005
•
Persons of limited income can apply for extra
help with premiums and co-pays now
•
As of January 1, 2006, persons with
Medicare and Medicaid receive prescription
coverage under Part D, instead of through
Medicaid
