Duties
• Daily
– Review the NAME04 monitoring products (see list on slide 6)
from Scott’s Personal Briefing Sequence (see slide 5 for web
address) to make sure they are updated.
– Participate in the daily FOC-SMN-NCEP briefing conference call
(see summary on slide 4) for about 15 min.
• Weekly
– Attend the hazards briefing at 10:00 am on Monday AM in Rm.
802 and consult with the CPC 6-10 day forecaster
– Write up a summary of key monsoon features and post this in the
JOSS/NAME Field Catalog (the password is cactus04) (see
address on slide 7)

SPC- overview of severe thunderstorm threat in Tier 1
NHC-overview of tropical storm threats to Tier 1 and
adjacent areas of Tier 2 within the next 72 hours
HPC- QPF over Tier 1 on day 2, days 3-5
CPC- overall monsoon flow pattern over Tier 1; 6-10
day forecast
