KSC Fueling Services Summary
Kennedy Space Center
Center Operations Directorate
♦
Customer provides spacecraft requirements

♦

♦
Propellant OBQ, filter size, interface connections, temperature
and pressure limits, etc
KSC provides service equipment and procedures to
meet those requirements

♦
Engineering & Operations Division
Load propellants and pressurants
Contingency offload at loading facility and pad
Customer participation is encouraged for all planning
and operations activities
Afterward, KSC servicing equipment is prepared to
support the next mission

Summary
Kennedy Space Center
Center Operations Directorate
Engineering & Operations Division
♦
KSC has developed a generic spacecraft fueling system
and supporting services
♦
GSE & OMIs conform to rigorous NASA design and
certification requirements
The service is mobile; can fuel a spacecraft at KSC,
VAFB, or other location
♦
♦
♦
NASA missions may use the KSC service thus avoiding
the high cost of creating their own capability
