Moscone
Expansion
Project
Update
 Opportunity Cost of Not Expanding
- Smaller then the 12 most competitive convention
centers – Moscone has less than half the exhibit
space of their average square footage
- Space constraints have resulted in a direct spend
loss of nearly $2.1 billion for the fiscal years 2010
through 2019
 Economic Benefits
- Increase in hotel tax revenue projected to be $20
million
- Net economic impact of $734,402,886 through fiscal
year 2026
 Moscone Center Improvements
- Adds contiguous exhibit space to Moscone Center
that it currently lacks and needs to remain
competitive
- Increases largest contiguous exhibit space from
260,000 sq ft to 515,000 sq ft.
