Sourcing Items:
• If request is from an online store or website:
– Visit the website and do a dummy order to find out how much the
items, tax and shipping costs to you will be.
– Request full amount from customer in advance
• Plus shipping costs to the customer – if known
• If request is from a traditional store:
– Visit a few websites and confirm that item is available
– If expensive, ask for part payment
– If not, ask for the Gopher fee of $20 USD (or equivalent)

– On the USA site at least there
is an invoice template you can
use.
– You can also download from
PayPal a useful “Pay Now”
button that you can add to
emails from Outlook
– A PayPal credit card gives you
1% cash back on all
purchases (useful when
transaction fees are 4.5%)

– If necessary, request final payment

• Ship the items! (yes it is that simple)

Other Points:
• If requests come to more than $100 USD add 5% to the amount
over $100 – this is to cover PayPal transaction charges
• Visit http://pe.usps.gov/text/Imm/Immctry.html for information on
restrictions on shipping items
• Customs forms must be completed – in the USA it is form 2976 for
packages under 4Ib and 2976-A for packages 4Ib +

Repeat Customers:
• Of course, customers can simply email you a request rather than
filling in the form.
– The process is exactly the same
• I have a customer in South Korea who makes a monthly request
– I give him a discount of 10% so the service fee is $18.00

• A shopping center in the Middle East uses the Gopher Service.
– They will send an email with request
• They usually send an image also
– Email them back with a quote
– They will advise if to proceed with purchase
– Shipping is always by FedEx - SC provides address and account
number
• This means there are no shipping fees for us to recover
– The service fee for the SC is $15
– Fill in FedEx forms and ship

• Complete the invoice and send to me every two weeks (before the
15th and last day of the month). I will send the money to you via
PayPal.

Ship via FedEx
• Once item is purchased SC will provide you with:
– The address to ship the items to
– The FedEx account number
• Check if the item(s) contain pork or alcohol
– These items are prohibited in Kuwait – do not send!!
• Check that addressee not on blocked list (link below has a list of
names)

• Fill out the FedEx “International Air Waybill”
– Tick FedEx Intl. Priority
– Fill in details
• Also fill in “commercial invoice” (in triple)
– Be sure to fill in the company name

Ship via FedEx
• All forms and boxes/ envelopes are available free at FedEx
locations
• Take the package or request a pickup from Fedex
– Once shipped email the FedEx Tracking number to Sultan
Center
