Pronouns
A pronoun is a word that takes the place of
a noun or another pronoun.
 Common pronouns are: I, you, he, she, it,
we, they, me, him, her, us, them, my, mine,
your, their

 Singular:
I, you, he, she, it
 Plural: we, you, they

relationship.



Pronoun Agreement
The antecedent is the noun or pronoun
that a pronoun refers to.
 Agreement in number- singular or plural
 Agreement in Person- 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
 Agreement in Gender


discoveries about Assyria. It was a wealthy
country in an ancient world.

Pronoun Problems
Use we when the pronoun is a subject or a
predicate pronoun.
 Use us when the pronoun is an object.

