 There will be 3 Content loader DVD’s each for MSCIT ERA 6 and
WAVE ERA 6
 The framework is common for both MSCIT & WAVE
 Content for MSCIT as well as WAVE Courses can be loaded once the
Framework for ERA 6 is Installed at your center
 WAVE Learning as well as MSCIT learning will be done in ERA 6
framework only
 Also the Learners for both MSCIT & WAVE can be downloaded from
the same Learning Facilitator login
ERA 6.0 Installation>Server Prerequisites
 Please Ensure the Following before Installation
 That the server machine in your computer lab is being used to
install MKCL’s ERA 6.0 (Physical server machine)
 Operating system should be either
 Win XP with SP 3 with IIS version 5.1 or Higher or
 Windows Server 2003 with SP 2 IIS version 5.1 or Higher
 Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express R2
 Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
 That the C drive (Root Drive) is having minimum 20 GB free space
as per the recommended hardware setup. Free space required for
loading a course depends on the actual size of the course content.
ERA 6.0 Installation>Server Prerequisites
 Please Ensure the Following before Installation
 That the server machine is connected to Internet for
Framework Activation and Learner Data Downloading.
 That you are Installing ERA 6.0 from a login which has
the Administrative privileges.
 That you have Flash Player installed on the machines in
order to view the eContent properly
ERA 6.0 Installation>Server Prerequisites
 Please Ensure the Following before Installation
• That you are Installing ERA 6.0 by keeping the installer CD/DVD in
the respective drive of the server machine itself.
• That you have Internet Information Service (IIS) version 5.1 or
higher installed on the server machine. IIS installation needs the
respective Operating System installation CD
ERA 6.0 Installation > Client Prerequisites
 Please Ensure the Following before Installation of QOES client
• Operating system should be either
• Windows XP with SP3 OR
• Windows Server 2003 with SP2 OR
• Windows Vista SP1 or later
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
• IIS v5.1 or later
• Windows Installer 3.1
• Windows Installer 4.5
• Internet Explorer version 7.0 or later
ERA 6.0 Framework Installation

Insert the Single click ERA 6.0 Framework Installation DVD provided to
you in the DVD-ROM.

Open the DVD and then double click the autorun.exe file which will
present the adjacent screen to you.
ERA 6.0 PREREQUISITE Installation
 Following pre-requisites will
get installed from ERA 6.0
Framework Installation CD
 .NET Framework 4.0
 Microsoft SQL Server
2008 R2 express
 Click on “Accept” button when
the two adjacent window
appears to continue the
Installation.
ERA 6.0 PREREQUISITE Installation
 If .NET Framework 4.0 is not installed earlier in your machine,
then installer will start the installation of .NET 4.0 Framework
 If .NET 4.0 is already Installed on your system, the installer will
then directly proceed to Install SQL Server 2008 R2 Express
ERA 6.0 PREREQUISITE Installation
 For SQL Server 2008
R2 Express adjacent
screens will appear
 The process will
continue automatically
ERA 6.0 PREREQUISITE Installation
 Please be patient as SQL Server Installation will take 30-45 mins.
 Adjacent screen will appear before you while installation is in process
ERA 6.0 FRAMEWORK Installation
 After installation of SQL server 2008 R2 has been completed following
screen will appear
 Click on Next button to continue the installation of ERA 6.0.

 Once all the prerequisites are over, the installation of ERA 6.0 will start &
following screen will appear

 While ERA 6 Framework is being installed following screens will appear

 After ERA 6 Framework Installation is over following screens for copying
Demo Course Content will appear before you

 Use the icon present on the Desktop for accessing the Learning
Facilitator Login
 Or open the Learning facilitator login from Start >> Programs >> ERA 6
>> ERA 6 – Learning Facilitator
 Click on Activate button to start activation process.
Click on Shortcut icon
on desktop
ERA 6.0 FRAMEWORK ACTIVATION
 Make sure that your are connected to internet while doing activation.
 A message of successful activation shall be displayed if the Activation Key
entered is correct.
 Now you are ready to enter into the eLearning world!
LF Login URL for ERA 6.0 is

 Make sure that your are connected to internet

ERA 6.0 COURSE LOADING
ERA 6.0 Course Loading
 Once the ERA 6.0 Framework is activated you can load the course
contents
 Be ready with course CD/DVD
ERA 6.0 Course Loading
 Insert course CD/DVD in CD/DVD drive of your server machine on
which ERA 6.0 framework is installed.
 The setup shall run automatically

 In case there is insufficient space on the drive to load the course, a
message prompt shall be displayed as follows:
Please make provision for free space.
Once the ERA 6.0 server and client application is
installed,
You are ready to use ERA 6.0
ERA 6.0 UNINSTALLATION PROCESS
ERA 6.0 UNINSTALLATION
 Before uninstalling ERA6 framework, please ensure you taken the
database backup. In case you do not have the database backup, you will
end up losing all your data
 You can take the latest Database backup from Data Traveler from
“Backup/Restore” tab
 In case of any issue in opening Data Traveler, you can get the backup
files: “ERA6_Data.mdf” and “ERA6_Log.ldf” from the path 
C:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftSQLServer\MSSQL10_50.ERA6\MSSQL\DA
TA . You can save these files at some place on your system. After ERA 6
re-installation is done, you can restore these files in the above path
mentioned.

 In case you need to

framework you can
uninstall it from the

 If you remove the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 following screen will
appear

Once the Uninstallation in
complete a message will be
displayed as shown

 You can find “ERA6 Assistant” as shown below:
Double click on
ERA6 Assistant to
access of ERA
Assistant for the
first time.
 Once you have run ERA6 Assistant exe, its icon will
appear on the right-hand side of task-bar as shown -
ERA 6.0 DRIVE MAPPING
 While ERA6 Assistant window appears, In “Backups” tab, “Map Drive”
button will be visible.
 This, drive mapping is for specifying the location where you want to
keep the back up of your data.
ERA 6.0 DRIVE MAPPING
 While ERA 6 Framework is getting installed, you will be asked to specify
for Drive Network Mapping as shown below
 This is the path where your ERA 6 Backup will be stored, so do not skip
this step
Enter the Drive letter & then
specify a shared folder in your
server or any other system in
the LAN where you wish to
store the backup files
