Introduction
This document collects key statements by H.C.M. de Swart and F.A. Muller, in their blocking
my work and person from attending colloquia of the NWO-projects 360-20-301 running in
2012-2016 on Mannoury and philosophy of language and a NWO-project 360-20-300 running
in 2012-2017 on Mannoury, Beth, Heyting and Van Dantzig, with a budget of 617,000 euros.
Officially NWO-project 360-20-301 has ended on 2016-02-28, but the breach on 2016-02-18
must be resolved, and the file on this cannot be closed before. I have some comments on
Mannoury and philosophy of language, and there must be proper reference in the report.
The filos-nl server is for Dutch academic philosophy. Normally one is lenient for researchers
who e.g. had an academic or other research position. Such normal leniency would apply to
me. See (A) for my standing interest in philosophy, methodology of science and history, e.g.
my book "A Logic of Exceptions", and see my weblog 2015 for my interest in Mannoury.
In his emails to me, Muller speaks about "filos.nl". It is only after his second email of
yesterday that I discover that this is a typing error, and that he means "filos-nl". There I find
the general invitation to the colloquia: "Everyone is welcome." The email exchange (A) and
(B) thus are without my knowledge about the general invitation on the listserver. It is awkward
that nobody involved directly quoted it to me. Points are:

The NWO-project colloquia are open for everyone. ("Colloquium" is no internal meeting.)
De Swart and subsequently Muller lie that they are a closed shop.
Blocking my attendance as if there would be reason for it, is ad hominem, and slander
w.r.t. my work and person. (They also copy to some others, and know that I have to copy
to third people when I would protest against the abuse.)

De bijeenkomsten van dit onderzoekscolloquium worden aangekondigd
op de publieke filos.nl e-lijst [dit moet filos-nl zijn / TC], met een open uitnodiging aan een
ieder die wil komen en iets bij te dragen heeft of daar relevante info kan aantreffen.
Het is evenwel een historisch onderzoeksprogramma, 1920 - 1970, en
mensen met andere invalshoeken, of belangstelling voor hedendaagse onderwerpen,
divergerende agenda’s, etc. kunnen beter weg blijven (dit had Harrie de Swart
ongetwijfeld vermoed), want dat leidt tot irrelevante uitwijdingen, nodeloos
vraag-en-antwoord, etc, waar de uitvoerders van het NWO-programma geen
enkele behoefte aan hebben: zij spreken over archief-materiaal, e.d.
Ik heb even rondgevraagd, en van vrijwel alle leden van deze
onderzoeksgroep het advies gehad u mede te delen dat er bij
deze geschiedkundige colloquia niets te halen is voor u,
daar u immers geen geschiedkundige bent. U heeft blijkbaar

allerlei andere onderwerpen, theorieën e.d. waarvoor dit
historische colloquium niet de plaats is om ze te berde te
brengen. Zoek andere gremia.

Geachte heer Cool,
In reactie op uw e-berichten d.d. 23 en 24 Februari 2015 [moet 2016 zijn / TC] (NWOprojecten 360-20-300 cq. 301, colloquia en optreden van prof. dr. H.C.M. de Swart) willen we
graag het volgende toelichten.
De bijeenkomsten van de door NWO gefinancierde onderzoeksgroep From Criticism to
Methodology zijn geen openbare doch besloten bijeenkomsten, waar doorgaans de
uitvoerende onderzoekers hun bevindingen voorleggen en bespreken. Een enkele keer is er
op nadrukkelijke uitnodiging van ondergetekende een spreker van buiten. Zulke
bijeenkomsten van onderzoeksgroepen zijn dagelijkse gang van zaken en nooit openbaar.
Een enkele keer is de aankondiging ook terechtgekomen op de nationale verzendlijst filos.nl
[dit moet filos-nl zijn / TC]. Dat was een vergissing.
Wij kunnen uw webstek vinden en hebben toegang tot uw werk, en wij zullen daarnaar
verwijzen en gebruik van maken indien daar aanleiding of noodzaak toe is. De promovenda in
dit project, M. Kirkels (in cc), heeft uw documenten ontvangen en zal deze op voet van
gelijkheid behandelen met alle andere wetenschappelijke lectuur die zij tegenkomt.

Verder achten wij de wijze waarop u ons heeft bejegend ongepast. Een aantal betrokkenen
bij het project heeft omgang met u als onbeleefd ervaren. Ten einde de goede sfeer van onze
bijeenkomsten te beschermen, zullen wij u niet uitnodigen voor toekomstige
onderzoeksbijeenkomsten.
Mocht er een misverstand zijn gerezen over de aard van de bijeenkomsten van genoemde
onderzoeksprojectgroep, dan hopen wij dit bij dezen uit de wereld te hebben geholpen.
