Dear friends and colleagues,
it is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Spring
International Meeting, the event planned by the Italian
Society of Orthodontics on 11/12 March 2016 at the
Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome.
Teamwork for Esthetics and Patients’ Quality of Life focuses
on the interaction among the different dental fields and
maxillofacial and aesthetic surgery: the aesthetic and
functional correction of severe malocclusions in growing and
adult patients often benefit when other dental and medical
specialists are involved in treatment planning with the
orthodontist and the surgeon. The new 2D and 3D diagnostic
tools are particularly valuable in diagnosing, planning and
treating complex cases.
This event has been built with the extraordinary contribution
of all the speakers from the different specialties, to create
a cohesive, practical, highly educational and integrated
programme, complemented by interactive participation
of the public. The speakers, of high clinical and scientific
relevance, have welcomed the challenge with enthusiasm,
and I’m sure they will offer two days of great educational
significance.
In keeping with the structure introduced in 2015, the Spring
International Meeting takes place on Friday and Saturday
morning.
Saturday afternoon features a post-conference course (an
advanced in-depth course on the theme of the meeting) and
two additional sessions, aimed primarily at young people,
with an introductory course on typodont and, again, on the
Talent Factory, which was a highly successful event in 2014.
The social event takes you to the National Gallery of Modern
Art: a guided tour of the “Late nineteenth-early twentieth
century” wing is followed by a social dinner organized
exclusively for the first time in the “Another time, another
space-1926-2000” wing.
2016 is the year of the Jubilee Extraordinary Pope Francis
inaugurated on December 8, 2015. The Auditorium della
Conciliazione, tucked between Castel Sant’Angelo and Piazza
San Pietro, is the perfect location to live out the charm and
participate.
