Transcript ASTRE Visiting Professor: Bao

Il Professor Bao Chu Chen, esperto di ponti ed infrastrutture civili e già Direttore del
Collegio di Architettura dell' Università di Fuzhou, Cina, svolgerà nelle prossime due
settimane una visita scientifica presso il Dipartimento di Architettura e presso l’Alta Scuola
Roma Tre, nell’ ambito del programma ASTRE Visiting Professor.
Il Professor Chen si incontrerà con gli studenti svolgendo una conferenza generale dal
titolo
BRIDGES BETWEEN CHINA AND ITALY
L’ incontro intende offrire una panoramica sulla Cina attuale e favorire i contatti e le
relazioni tra mondo universitario cinese e italiano.
ABSTRACT
China is one of the world’s most ancient civilizations, has a recorded history of nearly
4,000 years. It is situated in eastern Asia on the western shore of the Pacific Ocean, with
an area of 9.6 million square kilometers. More than 1.3billion of 56 ethnic groups live and
work together on the land. After 1978, China began a reform and opening program, and
has enjoyed more than 30 years of rapid development. The presentation will give a brief
introduction of China, including 1) the Chinese national flag and emblem, geographies,
population, science and technology; 2) the Chinese Religion and Philosophy, focus on the
Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism; 3) Some of Chinese cultural values; 4) Fuzhou City
and Fuzhou University where the speaker comes from.
La conferenza si svolgerà venerdì 26 febbraio, con orario 16.30 - 17.30, presso l’ aula
1(piano terra) edificio ex Tommaseo, via Ostiense 139. La conferenza sarà in inglese con
traduzione simultanea in italiano.
