Introduction Horizon 2020, the new work program from the European Commission, is the biggest EU research and Innovation program ever with nearly €80 bil lion of funding available over 7 years (2014-2020). It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.

Horizon 2020 actively supports SMEs to increase their innovation capacities through the optimi zation of research and development results to transfer them into society. As the Commission states: “great ideas need to be picked up by businesses, customers and the market before they can really transform the society”.

Indeed, innovative companies focused on R&D can strongly benefit from participation to the Euro pean research framework H2020, from financing new research development to bringing a final pro duct to the market. Project participation provides opportunity to reinforce the development of new products, services or processes as well as develop ing powerful partnership throughout Europe.

Euresearch Lugano in collaboration with SUPSI and Fondazione AGIRE is pleased to invite you to an information and networking event that will introduce you to the Horizon 2020 funding oppor tunities for SMEs as well as its rule of participation and Euresearch services. We will also introduce you to the powerful Enterprise Europe Network, a key player for supporting SME’s access to business opportunities in the EU and beyond. Finally, the event will showcase a few companies that will discuss their participation to H2020 with you.

Questo condurrà a più innovazioni, scoperte e risultati rivoluzionari trasferendo grandi idee dal laboratorio al mercato.

Horizon 2020 aiuta attivamente le PMI ad aumen tare la loro capacità innovativa attraverso l’otti mizzazione dei risultati R&S e il loro trasferimento nella società. Come affermato dalla Commissione, “le grandi idee necessitano di essere riprese dalle aziende, dai consumatori e dal mercato prima che possano veramente trasformare la società”.

Infatti, le aziende innovative focalizzate sulla ricerca e lo sviluppo possono trarre ampi benefici da una partecipazione a Horizon 2020. Dal finan ziamento di nuove ricerche alla messa sul merca to di un prodotto finale, la partecipazione ad un progetto Horizon 2020 permette di potenziare lo sviluppo di nuovi prodotti, servizi o processi così come di consolidare partenariati in tutta l’Europa.

Euresearch Lugano, in collaborazione con la SUPSI e la Fondazione AGIRE, è lieto di invitarvi ad un evento informativo sulle opportunità di finanziamento per le PMI in Horizon 2020, così come sulle regole di partecipazione e ai servizi di Euresearch. Vi verrà inoltre presentata la rete “Enterprise Europe Network”, un attore chiave nel sostegno della partecipazione delle PMI alle opportunità di business europee. Infine, durante l’evento, alcune aziende condivideranno con noi la loro esperienza in Horizon 2020.
