Oscar van Angeren geeft leiding aan de Investment Management praktijkgroep van Houthoff Buruma en werkt vanuit kantoor Londen en
kantoor Amsterdam. Oscar houdt zich onder meer bezig met het opzetten van beleggingsinstellingen, waaronder private equity fondsen,
hedge funds, vastgoedfondsen, retailfondsen (UCITS en non-UCITS) en funds of funds. Voorts adviseert Oscar vermogensbeheerders,
pensioenfondsen en andere institutionele beleggers over onder meer discretionair en fiduciair/integraal vermogensbeheer, asset pooling
en toezichtwet- en regelgeving op het gebied van (collectief) vermogensbeheer. Oscar adviseert ook regelmatig over
kapitaalmarkttransacties waarbij beleggingsinstellingen en/of vermogensbeheerders zijn betrokken. Oscar publiceert en doceert frequent
over diverse onderwerpen op het gebied van vermogensbeheer.

Advising this top tier Dutch pension fund, with assets under
management of more than € 8 billion on, inter alia:
(i) their custody contracts with JP Morgan;
(ii) their fiduciary asset management contract with BlackRock;
(iii) their ISDA contracts; and
(iv) their fund investments.
Oscar is ranked in Tier 1 and his 'clients describe him as "smart and
knowledgeable – a strong communicator," and praise his handling
of investment management contracts.'

Continuing to advise this leading Dutch industry pension fund
with assets under management of approx. € 17 billion, on,
inter alia:
(i) their asset pooling structure, including the implications of
the AIFMD;
(ii) their fund investments (private equity and real estate
funds);
(iii) their custody contracts with Northern Trust Global
Advisors;
(iv) the continuing appointment of new asset managers
(approx. 30); and
(v) their ISDA contracts.
Advising this large Dutch pension fund on various aspects of
their asset management, investment fund management and
risk management contracts.
The advice pertains to, among other things, the legal
documentation of the asset management, fiduciary and other
advisory services provided to the Pension Fund for the
Bakeries on an ongoing basis.
Houthoff Buruma advised Stichting Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds
voor de Zuivel en aanverwante industrie ("Bpf Zuivel"), a
Dutch industry wide pension fund, on inter alia the following
legal matters:
(i) the delegation of certain of Bpf Zuivel's asset management
tasks to BNP Paribas Investment Partners Netherlands N.V.
by means of an investment management agreement entered
into between Bpf Zuivel and BNP Paribas Investment Partners
Netherlands N.V.;
(ii) the outsourcing of Bpf Zuivel's pensions management and
related tasks to Syntrus Achmea Pensioenbeheer N.V. by
means of a pensions management agreement entered into
between Bpf Zuivel and Syntrus Achmea Pensioenbeheer
N.V.; and
(iii) the appointment of Kas Bank N.V. as Bpf Zuivel's
custodian by means of a custody agreement entered into
between Bpf Zuivel and Kas Bank N.V.
Houthoff Buruma advised on the setting up of the MKB
Impulsfonds, a Dutch fund for joint account (fonds voor
gemene rekening) which has the objective to provide financing
to small and medium-sized enterprises in the Netherlands.
The fund will target Dutch institutional investors, such as
pension funds.
