neurodegenerative (Alzheimer) and neurovascular (stroke) diseases.
• Role of GABA, glutamate and nitric oxide (NO) in the regulation of neurosecretion, neuronal
cell death and SVZ adult neurogenesis and associated signaling mechanisms.
• Neuroprotective and neurorepairing mechanisms underlying the function of natural
antioxidants (curcumin, sulforaphane, etc.), phytoestrogens and anticholinesterasics of new
synthesis in cell and animal models of brain ischemia and Alzheimer Disease.
