Topic: an agriculture landlocked area of Plaine de France surrounded by fast
urban growth - can you envision the landscape of this area ?
Plaine de France is the name given to the territory located North of the region « Ile
de France » (Northern part of Greater Paris) linked to the installations of the
middle ages of Franken who came from central Europe onto this rich agricultural
land. Until the ’60 this land was highly used for agriculture purposes but since it’s
turned over mainly to be housing area, storage areas and industries linked to the
International airport Charles de Gaules and the business aviation airport of Le
Bourget.
WORKSHOP’S ORGANIZATION
The workshop will be held at ENSP Versailles organized by Associate Professor
Karin Helms landscape architect ENSP; and at the Scuola di Architettura e
società. The language will be English.
The tools will be models, sketches, drawings or any other communication tool, up
to the students. The teachers are guest teachers from partner schools of ENSP
Versailles, they are invited to come with five (5) students each.
