1997 Born in Osaka, Japan
1998 Moved to Nara city ( the Japanese old capital in 8th century )
2006 Started karting in the member of kart shop TRENTA QUATTORO (which stays within
40min-drive from home)
Takuya has been interested in the motor sports since he watched some Formula One
races on TV at age 6.
He went to see the Formula One race at Suzuka at age 7 and wanted to be a driver like
Takuma Sato in his future.
But his parents had no experience in the motor sports and no idea of what to do for
Takuya.
They happen to find the kart shop TRENTA QUATTORO on the web and knocked the
door.
That was the moment of his starting racing career.
2007 Started kart racing in Japan (Subaru Cadet)
2008 Champion at the Meihan Subaru Cadet Series in Japan
2009 Moved up to Junior Rotax Max in Japan
2010 Suzuka Junior Rotax Max series (one pole position) in Japan
2011
Started kart racing in Europe with Maranello karting team (KF3)
Winter Cup, WSK European Series, Italian Championships (one race, 6th), the Final Cup
2012 A factory driver of ART GP (KF3)
Winter Cup, Torofeo Andrea Margutti, WSK European Series, the World Championships,
All Japan Championship (KF-2) (two races, 1st and 4th)
2013 A factory driver of ART GP (KF)
WSK Master Series, the World Championships
2013 Started living in Barcelona in November

This international school is renowned for its educational innovation and high academic

The school a short walk from CAR, gives P.T.M. drivers the opportunity to study their high
school courses and to gain their International Bachillerato if they prefer. The Agora school

CAR (in Spanish, Centro de Alto Rendimiento or Centre for High Performance) is a
Government backed organization offering training programmes and education to over 350
athletes from around the world to compete at the highest international levels. Their faculty,
just outside Barcelona and close to the international airport, sits in beautiful surroundings.
It offers everything needed for the young international level sportsman including a medical
centre, psychological unit, professional nutritionists department, a unit of science
dedicated to sport and physiotherapy centre.
CAR places great importance on the academic and personal development of its pupils
emphasising that respect, education and adaptability are complemented by effort,
dedication and focus. CAR athletes can study for their "Bachillerato". "ESO" or attend the
Vocational Training Institute "IES – CAR", located within the CAR facility.
