PhD XXVII round: Information Engineering and Geophysics Title:

Processing and imaging of multiple reflections

Advisor:

Giuseppe Drufuca

Summary:

This research project aims to study and develop new seismic imaging and processing techniques that could exploit the multiple reflections recorded in the acquired data. Instead of considering reverberations only as noise, it is possible to use them as a source of valuable information. The image obtained from multiples can be used to complement the primary image, with the potential of improving the overall result of the imaging process.
