Naar jaarlijkse traditie organiseert de afstudeerrichting audiologie een internationaal programma voor
studenten audiologie van de Arteveldehogeschool en andere Europese opleidingen.
Dit jaar wordt een intensief programma georganiseerd van 30 maart tot 3 april 2015. Drie dagen van het
IPAB programma worden geheel of deels opengesteld als studiedag voor externen.
De voertaal van het programma is Engels.

Fundamental principles in tonal and speech audiometry
Toon– en spraakaudiometrie vormen de basis van vele audiologische interventies in zowel klinische audiometrie als in hoortoestelaanpassing en revalidatie.
Geen overbodige luxe dus om enkele belangrijke zaken nog eens op een rijtje te zetten.
Deze elementen komen aanbod in het eerste van de studienamiddag: relatieve mastoïdbeengeleiding,
RAINVILLE-methode, frontale beengeleiding met occlusie van de gehoorgangen & SAL-methode. In het
tweede deel wordt aandacht besteed aan selectie van woordenlijsten, maskering bij spraakaudiometrie,
relatie tonaal en vocaal audiogram en spraakverstaan in ruis.

Tijdens de studiedag “Pathologies” bespreken enkele NKO-artsen pathologieën die niet aan de aandacht
van audiologen mogen ontsnappen.
Ook al loopt deze studiedag al enkele jaren, de inhoud wordt daarom niet minder relevant.

Active aging of the hearing impaired people: do you care?
Een hoortoestel aanpassen is meer dan wat geklik op een computer. De algemene gezondheidstoestand, familie,
sociale activiteiten, interesses, … alles speelt een rol! Maar wat met de leeftijd? Bestaat “de” oudere? Vraagt de
oudere patiënt een andere aanpak bij communicatie en instructie? Hoe kan een hoortoestel bijdragen tot een verhoogde levenskwaliteit? Wat als ouderen afhankelijk zijn van andere zorgverleners of familie? Hoe brengen we
de sociale context in kaart? Op deze vragen proberen we antwoorden te bieden aan de hand van enkele theoretische concepten en praktische toepassingen.
