Grouping of Civil Services in India
 Civil services can be grouped into 3 broad categories:
 Services whose members serve both the Union and
the States. These are termed as the All India Services
(IAS, IPS & IFoS)
 Services whose members serve only the Union
Government, are termed as Central Civil services
(IRS, IRTS, IAAS, IPoS etc…)
 State Governments have their own Civil Services –
