Gieterij Borcherts B.V.
Everything is possible at Gieterij Borcherts. Along with
Machinefabriek Dekens, the foundry is a division of
the Dekens Group. This enables Gieterij Borcherts to
deliver a total package in casting and metal working.
The foundry is available to companies, government
institutions and private parties for casting and
processing products of diverse materials of various
qualities. Gieterij Borcherts is both ISO 9001 and
14001 certified.

Built on flexibility
Gieterij Borcherts not only casts and finishes all materials,
but it can also respond quickly to customer demand.
The family business has as many as seven induction
furnaces at its disposal. The foundry employs its own
engineers so it can quickly produce patterns and cast work.
Moreover, Gieterij Borcherts has a horizontal organisational structure, so customers are guaranteed fast service
by the right person.
Versatile family business
Gieterij Borcherts was founded in 1926. Since then,
the family business has grown from a cast iron
specialist to an all-round total supplier. Due to various
expansions and takeovers, Gieterij Borcherts can now
cast and process nearly all metals and alloys.
Gieterij Borcherts can handle the entire process,
from design drawing through to the manufacture and
finishing of parts. It is a family business registered
in Sappemeer, using a combination of traditional
methods and high technology. The company is now
being run by the second and third generations of the
Dekens family.
Focus on people and the environment
Gieterij Borcherts practices its trade with a focus on people and the
environment. For example, the moulding sand released after casting is
removed by machine and recycled. This enables the foundry to re-use
the sand, thus generating nearly no waste. This is a perfect fit with the
Dekens Group CSR policy.

Gieterij Borcherts has its own laboratory. The skilled
laboratory employees guarantee a constant high
quality of final products by closely monitoring the
smelting process. The laboratory is also available
to customers for various quality inspections.

Machinefabriek Dekens B.V.
As a division of Dekens Group, Machinefabriek Dekens
can supply its customers with a complete product in
the field of metal processing. The company has the
machinery and knowledge to implement all metal
removing processes to perfection. Organisations and
private parties can bring in Machinefabriek Dekens for
the design and production consultation as well as the
casting and machine finishing of metal products.
The machine factory is located in Sappemeer and is
distinguished by its craftsmanship. Machinefabriek
Dekens is ISO 9001 certified.

the company works in close co-operation with its affiliate, Gieterij Borcherts. Thus customers benefit from one

The Gieterij Borcherts art foundry can support artists
and customers through every stage of the process,
from inception right through to the completion of the
work. Artists often have a clear concept of what they
want and the art foundry ensures the final piece will
look exactly like their original idea. The art foundry
ensures that their creative concept will look exactly
like the one they had in mind. The art foundry provides
a variety of options for this. For example, Gieterij
Borcherts can cast sculptures in iron, precious metals,
bronze and aluminium. The possibilities, including
finish, are almost unlimited. It all depends on what the
customer has in mind.
In addition to casting and processing, the Gieterij
Borcherts art foundry can also assist, practically and
virtually, with converting the design into a sculpture.
