Nanded Sub Region
Nanded Sub Region consist of four Districts Nanded,Hingoli,Latur
&Parbhani.
In each district, District Industries Centre is established for
promoting industrial development and employment generation
through Industries. Besides DIC, Other agencies like MIDC,
MSSIDC, KVIB, MCED, MITCON are working hand in hand for
the development of this region. The State, from time to time
implementing industrial policies with objective of creating a level playing field for free and fair competition & robust industrial growth
across the region. Special emphasis has been laid on the
development of adequate & quality infrastructure in all the 4
districts. Development of industrial corridors, Special economic
zones, Textile parks, Mega units, Food Parks and Cluster
development, will create excellent infrastructure and investment
opportunities in the region.

The region is categorized as D+ region except HIngoli District
which is categorized as No industry district. Various incentives have
been declared by the State Govt. like : Industrial Promotion
subsidy, Stamp Duty Exemption, Electricity duty exemption, Interest
Subsidy, Technology upgradation, Cleaner Production,Quality
certification etc.
Nanded Sub region is rich in Agriculture produce like Cotton,
Soyabean,Oil seeds,Sugarcane, all types of Pulses, Jawar,
Maize,Turmeric,Chiily,Ginger and Fruits like Bannana, Amla,Citrus
Fruits, Grapes, Kesar Mango,Custored Apple,Sweet
Lemon,Pomogranate etc. So, there are so many opportunities in
Agro Industries. Besides Agro Industries, region has strong base in
Engineering,Truck body building , Garment, Steel sector,Plastic and
Cement Products.

STATE INDUSTRIAL POLICY- 2013
1.Policy Objective:
“To achieve higher and sustainable economic growth with emphasis on balanced regional development and
employment generation through greater private and public investment in industrial and infrastructure
development.”
2. Policy Targets:
• Target Industrial Sector growth rate of 12% to 13%
• Additional Employment Generation of 20 lakh by 2018
3. Policy Validity: 31st March 2018
4. Strategies:
The Policy objectives will be realized through the following strategies
a) Identification of thrust sectors
b) Building up of quality infrastructure
c) Incentivising investments for employment generation in districts Naxalist Area
d) Attracting mega investments both foreign and domestic
e) Commercial exploitation of local resources and local economic potential.
f) Strengthening the SME sector through promotion of quality competitiveness,
research and development and technology up gradation
g) Nurturing industrial clusters
h) Prevention of industrial sickness and revival of viable sick units
i) Smooth exit option for industries
j) Streamlining procedures, debottlenecking and creation of hassle free
industry friendly environment

k) Strengthening institutional support
5. Thrust Areas:
The State will identify key thrust areas for according greater importance to sectors keeping in view their potential in
contributing to the socio-economic development of the State. These sectors will be provided comprehensive support
through specific policy initiatives. Following are the thrust areas, which would be offered priority status.
a) Infrastructure Power, Roads, Rail, Communication, Connectivity, Airports, Ports.
b) Manufacturing - Agro- based Industries, Textiles, Auto and Auto components, Electronic products, Pharmaceuticals and
Gems and Jwellery.
c) Services – Sunrise Technology and Service Sectors including Information Technology, I.T. enabled services,
Biotechnology, Nano technology, (Retail,Tourism, and Entertainment. )
d) Mumbai- Pune - Nashik – Aurangabad Quadrilateral will be provided greater infrastructure support to develop its full
potential for knowledge-based, manufacturing and agro-based industries.
e) Establishment of Gas distribution networks in major industrial areas in the State to improve availability of cleaner and
cost effective fuel. The State, in addition to the Industrial Investment and Infrastructure Policy,will formulate out the
following policies for achieving the objectives and facilitating investment in the thrust areas mentioned above
