5
Highlights of achievements (III)
In the field of human exposure to
electromagnetic fields (EMFs):
–
New Rec. K.70, together with associated EMF
estimator software, gives guidance on
mitigation methods for reducing the radiation
level from radio-communication installations in
order to comply with exposure limits
–
Recs. K.52 and K.61 on EMFs calculation and
measurement methods have been revised

Highlights of achievements (IV)
In the Home Network field:
–
The new Rec. K.74 provides EMC,
Resistibility and Safety requirements for home
network devices that mainly have the function
of telecommunication
–
In the new Rec. K.75, Manufacturers,
Network Operators and Test Houses can find
classification of telecommunication equipment
interfaces for the application of standards on
resistibility and safety

Highlights of achievements (V)
Protective Components characteristics are
given in the new Recs. K.65 and K.69 and
revision of Recs. K.12 and K.30
The new Recs. K.66 and K.73 are in the field of
Earthing and Bonding, whereas the new Rec.
K.76 and the revision of the Rec. K.48 are in the
EMC field
The deployment of broadband services has
increased the risk of interference of wire-line
telecommunication networks with radio services.
The revision of Rec. K.60 deals with the
management of this risk
