16 local investors built a 5/8 mile harness track in
Plainville in 1998
Plainridge opened for simulcast and live racing in
March 1999
Expanded gaming legislation passed Nov 22, 2011
Allows for three casino and 1 slot – only venue (Category 2)

Plainridge filed its application fee on Aug 9, 2012 for
Category 2 gaming license

Roadway improvements will include traffic light at Rt.
495 S off ramp and at our entrance
With a gaming license, we will will hire an additional 400
full time employees and create 300 construction jobs
