The Changing Context for Research,
Teaching, and Learning
Knowledge itself will be modified and research
and development transformed by the new capacities
provided by IT. Nothing will be left untouched. The
liberal arts will be revived and transfigured, liberated
from their age-long reliance on text alone. The silos
