mountain ranges and
farm land.
• The summers were very
humid and hot which
were good for growing
crops, but also allowed
for the spread of
diseases.

were natural resources,
but farming was the
main one.
• Slaves owned by the
Colonists planted, grew
and harvested the crops
which the Colonist sold.

returned to Roanoke
from his 2nd voyage
from England to gather
supplies, no-one was at
the New World.
