 2010 World Population and Housing Census
Programme (launched in 2005)
o Recognizes population and housing censuses

 Countries face challenges in ensuring adequate
and effective analysis and utilization of their
census data, including at lower geographic level
 Realizing these challenges, UNSD with financial
aid of Italian Government initiated the project
“Strengthening national capacity to analyse,
present and disseminate data for evidencebased policy making”

processing of census data has been completed.
