

Individual authentication and privileges
Basic workflow
LAL implemented a Plone-like (http://grif.fr) and a CNRS-like
(http://www.lal.in2p3.fr) look and feel
Used by several LAL groups

Collaborative Tools :
Trac

Tools for project management integrating


A WiKi (based on MoinMoin) : http://projects.edgewall.com/trac
An issue tracker (trouble ticket system)




A roadmap manager based on milestones
A SVN browser
Very clean plug-in API (0.9+) : all main features are plug-ins



Ticket submission through Web or email
Same model as Eclipse : Trac core is just a plug-in manager
Cross reference between all types of information
Very attractive when you need documentation + action
follow-up


Collaborative Tools :
Agenda

At the very beginning


LAL director wants to publish its agenda…
Web-based agenda sharing


Currently using phpICalendar
WebDAV upload/download of ICS files



12/10/2005
Compatible with a lot of clients : Mac, Sunbird, Mulberry…
Interoperable with CERN CDS Agenda and (InDiCo)
Difficult sharing between multiple writers (file granularity)

Windows Infrastructure

IN2P3 forest still very successfull




New machines installed with WXP SP2



12 labs in production
Move of LAL AD domain to IN2P3 forest still delayed :
lack of manpower
Running well, management cost very low…
No migration plan for WXP SP1
Can be done on demand with SMS
Antivirus : successful move to McAfee

+ : MSI deployment
