Social Enterprise

   A Social Enterprise is any organization that has multiple missions and that must be concerned with a broad array of stakeholders Includes:   Business  Responsibility to shareholders, employees and customers but also held responsible for meeting broader social objectives Government  Responsibility to citizens but must also understand and work with business and NGO’s  Nonprofit  Mission driven organizations but must also achieve efficiency and viability similar to business The SEEK curriculum provides core competencies for managers across all management and consulting areas Copyright 2009. Intersections MBA Case Competition (hosted by Georgia Tech College of Management)  Developed a plan to address growth and sustainability for an actual Atlanta-area nonprofit.

Education Leadership Case Competition (hosted by Haas School of Business)  Formulated a strategy for rebuilding New Orleans’ public schools in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Kellogg’s Social Impact Club

The Social Impact Club supports and inspires Kellogg students in applying business skills toward positive social impact through organizations in the non-profit, public and private sectors.

 Serves as career resource for students interested in the non-profit, public management and socially responsible business sectors    Organizes Kellogg's Annual Innovating Social Change (ISC) Conference Acts as the student arm for the Center for Nonprofit Management the Ford Center for Global Citizenship.

Represents students pursuing Kellogg’s SEEK Major .

The CHEST Foundation and Levy Social Entrepreneurship Case Competition

     Chicago is facing an asthma epidemic, which affects 630,000 children and adults each year. The purpose of this competition is to encourage teams of students to develop new and creative sustainable organizational models that will address this problem. $3,000 in awards. Prominent judges, including former US Surgeon General C. Everett Koop.
