NMTEACH was established by regulation in NMAC 6.69.8 as a “uniform procedure for evaluating

licensed school employees.”

Teacher Surveys are part of the Multiple Measures Category of School Leader Evaluation and contribute 10% to the overall summative score.

Student and Parent Surveys are part of the Multiple Measures Category of Teacher Evaluation and contribute 5% - 10% to the overall summative score.

     A component of the NMTEACH Educator Effectiveness System (EES) School Leader Evaluation.

Teachers complete surveys regarding the instructional leadership of their principal.

Ten questions aligned to the HOUSSE Competencies.

Administered in January.

Anonymous and confidential.

      A component of NMTEACH EES Teacher Evaluation.

Students in grades 3 - 12 complete surveys about their learning experience with their individual teacher.

Ten questions aligned to the NMTEACH Observation Rubric.

Results are tied to individual teachers.

Administered in the fall (November/December) for block or semester long courses; and in the spring for all courses (March/April).

Anonymous and confidential.

      A component of NMTEACH EES Teacher Evaluation.

Parents of students in grades K – 2 complete surveys about their child’s learning experience with their individual teacher.

Ten questions aligned to the NMTEACH Observation Rubric.

Results are tied to individual teachers.
