Exodus 1:8
Then a new king,
who did not know
about Joseph,
came to power in
Egypt.
Exodus 1:9,10 "Look,"
he said to his people,
"the Israelites have
become much too
numerous for us.Come,
we must deal shrewdly
with them or they will
become even more
numerous and, if war
breaks out, will join our
enemies, fight against us
and leave the country."
Exodus 1:11 So
they put slave
masters over them
to oppress them
with forced labor,
and they built
Pithom and
Rameses as store
cities for
Pharaoh.
Exodus 1:14
They made
their lives
bitter with
hard
labor in
brick and
mortar and
with all kinds
of work in the
fields; in all
their hard
labor the
Egyptians
used them
ruthlessly.
Exodus 1:16,17 “When
you help the Hebrew
women in childbirth
and observe them on
the delivery stool, if it
is a boy, kill him;
but if it is a girl, let her
live.” The midwives,
however, feared God
and did not do what the
king of Egypt had told
them to do; they let the
boys live.
Exodus 1:22
Then Pharaoh
gave this order
to all his people:
"Every boy that
is born you
must throw
into the Nile,
but let every girl
live."
Exodus 2:1-4 Now a man of
the house of Levi married a
Levite woman, and she became
pregnant and gave birth to a
son. When she saw that he was
a fine child, she hid him for
three months But when she
could hide him no longer, she
got a papyrus basket for
him and coated it with tar and
pitch. Then she placed
the child in it and put it
among the reeds along the
bank of the Nile. His sister
stood at a distance to see what
would happen to him.
Exodus 2:5,6 Then
Pharaoh's daughter
went down to the Nile to
bathe, and her
attendants were walking
along the river bank.
She saw the basket
among the reeds and
sent her slave girl to get
it. She opened it and
saw the baby. He was
crying, and she felt
sorry for him. "This
is one of the Hebrew
babies," she said.
Exodus 2:10 When the child
grew older, she took him to
Pharaoh's daughter and he
became her son.
Acts 7:22
Moses was
educated
in all the
wisdom of the
Egyptians and
was powerful
in speech and
action.
Hebrews 11:24-26 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be
known as the son of Pharaoh‘s daughter. He chose to be
mistreated along with the people of God rather than to
enjoy the pleasures of sin. . . He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ
as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking
ahead to his reward. for a short time.
Exodus 2:11
One day, after
Moses had grown
up, he went out to
where his own
people were and
watched them at
their hard labor.
He saw an
Egyptian beating
a Hebrew, one of
his own people.
Exodus 2:12
Glancing this way
and that and seeing
no one, he killed the
Egyptian and hid him
in the sand.
Acts 7:22 Moses
thought that his own
people would
realize that God
was using him to
rescue them, but
they did not.
Exodus 2:15a
When Pharaoh
heard of this, he
tried to kill Moses,
but Moses fled
from Pharaoh…
Exodus 2:15b-17
. . . and went to live in
Midian, where he sat
down by a well. Now a
priest of Midian had
seven daughters,
and they came to draw
water and fill the troughs
to water their father's
flock. Some shepherds
came along and drove
them away, but Moses
got up and came
to their rescue and
watered their flock.
Exodus 2:23,24
The Israelites groaned in their slavery
and cried out, and their cry for help
because of their slavery went up to God.
God heard their groaning and
he remembered his covenant with
Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob.
Exodus 3:1,2
Now Moses was
tending the flock of
Jethro his father-in-law,
the priest of Midian,
and he led the flock to
the far side of the
desert and came to
Horeb, the mountain of
God. There the
angel of the
LORD appeared
to him in flames
of fire from within
a bush.
Exodus 3:7,8 The LORD said,
[1]"I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt.
[2] I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers,
[3] and I am concerned about their suffering.
[4] So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians.
Exodus 3:10
So now, go.
[5] I am sending
you to Pharaoh
to bring my
people the
Israelites out
of Egypt."
Exodus 3:11
But Moses said to
God, "Who am I,
that I should go to
Pharaoh and bring
the Israelites out of
Egypt?"
Exodus 3:12 And
God said, "I will
be with you.”
Exodus 3:13
Moses said to God,
"Suppose I go to the
Israelites and say to
them, 'The God of
your fathers has sent
me to you,' and they
ask me, 'What is
his name?' Then
what shall I tell
them?"
Exodus 3:14
This is what you are to say to the Israelites:
'I AM has sent me to you.'"
Exodus 4:1
Moses
answered,
"What if they
do not believe
me or listen to
me and say,
'The LORD did
not appear to
you'?"
Exodus 4:2-4 Then the LORD said to him, "What is that in your
hand?" "A staff," he replied. The LORD said, "Throw it on the
ground." Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake,
and he ran from it. Then the LORD said to him, "Reach out your
hand and take it by the tail." So Moses reached out and took
hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand.
Exodus 4:10 Moses said
to the LORD, "O Lord, I
have never been eloquent,
neither in the past nor
since you have spoken to
your servant.
I am slow of speech
and tongue."
Exodus 4:11 The
LORD said to him,
"Who gave man
his mouth? Who
makes him deaf or mute?
Who gives him sight or
makes him blind? Is it
not I, the LORD?
Exodus 4:13 But Moses
said, "O Lord, please
send someone
else to do it.“
Exodus 4:14-15 Then
the LORD's anger
burned against
Moses and he said,
"What about your brother,
Aaron the Levite? I know
he can speak well. . . You
shall speak to him and put
words in his mouth. . . "
Exodus 4:19,22,23
Now the LORD had
said to Moses in Midian,
"Go back to Egypt, for
all the men who
wanted to kill you are
dead."
Then say to Pharaoh,
'This is what the LORD
says: Israel is my
firstborn son, and I
told you, "Let my son
go, so he may worship
me." But you refused
to let him go; so I will
kill your firstborn
son.'"
Exodus 5:1 Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, "This
is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Let my people go, so that
they may hold a festival to me in the desert.'"
Exodus 5:6-8 That same
day Pharaoh gave this
order to the slave drivers
and foremen in charge of
the people: “You are no
longer to supply the people
with straw for making
bricks; let them go and
gather their own straw. But
require them to make the
same number of bricks as
before; don't reduce
the quota. They are
lazy; that is why they are
crying out, 'Let us go and
sacrifice to our God.'
Exodus 5:19-21 The Israelite
foremen realized they were in
trouble when they were told,
"You are not to reduce the
number of bricks required of you
for each day." When they left
Pharaoh, they found Moses and
Aaron waiting to meet them, and
they said, "May the LORD look
upon you and judge you!
You have made us a
stench to Pharaoh
and his officials and have put a
sword in their hand to kill us."
Exodus 6:1 Afterward Moses and
Aaron went to Pharaoh and said,
"This is what the LORD, the God of
Israel, says: 'Let my people go, so
that they may hold a festival to me in
the desert.'"
Exodus 6:30 & 7:1 But Moses
said to the LORD, "Since I
speak with faltering lips, why
would Pharaoh listen to me?"
Then the LORD said to Moses,
"See, I have made you like God
to Pharaoh, and your brother
Aaron will be your prophet."
Exodus 7:12,13
Each one
threw down
his staff and it
became a snake.
But Aaron's staff
swallowed up
their staffs. Yet
Pharaoh's
heart
became hard
and he would not
listen to them, just
as the LORD had
said.
Hosea 11:1 "When Israel
was a child, I loved him,
and out of Egypt I have
called my son.”
Matthew 2:14-15 So he got
up, took the child and his
mother during the night
and left for Egypt, where
he stayed until the death
of Herod. And so was
fulfilled what the Lord had
said through the prophet:
"Out of Egypt I called
my son."
Exodus 7:20 Moses and Aaron did just as the
LORD had commanded. He raised his staff
in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials
and struck the water of the Nile, and all the
water was changed into. . .
blood
Exodus 8:6 So Aaron stretched out his hand
over the waters of Egypt, and the
frogs came up and covered the land.
Exodus 8:17
They did this, and
when Aaron
stretched out his
hand with the staff
and struck the dust
of the ground,
gnats came upon
men and animals.
All the dust
throughout the land
of Egypt
became . . .
gnats.
Exodus 8:24 And the LORD did this. Dense swarms of flies poured into
Pharaoh's palace and into the houses of his officials, and throughout Egypt
land was ruined by the
flies.
Exodus 9:3
If you refuse to let them go
and continue to hold them
back, the hand of the LORD
will bring a terrible
plague
on your
livestock
Exodus 9:10-11 So they took soot from a furnace and stood before
Pharaoh. Moses tossed it into the air, and festering
broke out on men and animals.

Exodus 10:21
Then the LORD
said to Moses,
"Stretch out your
hand toward the
sky so that
darkness
will spread over
Egypt-darkness that
can be felt."
Exodus 11:1 Now the
LORD had said to Moses,
"I will bring one more
plague on Pharaoh
and on Egypt. After that,
he will let you go from
here, and when he does,
he will drive you out

Exodus 12:2,3
"This month is to be

Tell the whole
community of Israel
that on the tenth
day of this
month each man
is to take a lamb for
his family, one for

Exodus 12:6-7 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the
month, when all the people of the community of Israel must slaughter
them at twilight. Then they are to take some of the blood and put
it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where
they eat the lambs.
Exodus 12:8,11
That same night they are to
eat the meat roasted
over the fire, along with
bitter herbs, and bread
made without yeast.
This is how you are to eat it:
with your cloak tucked into
your belt, your sandals on
your feet and your staff in
your hand. Eat it in haste; it
is the LORD's Passover.
Exodus 12:29
At midnight the
LORD struck down
all the firstborn in
Egypt, from the
firstborn of
Pharaoh, who sat
on the throne, to
the firstborn of the
prisoner, who was
in the dungeon,
and the firstborn of

Exodus 13:18 So God led the people around by the
desert road toward the Red Sea.
Exodus 14:19,20 The pillar of cloud
also moved from in front and stood
behind them, coming between the
armies of Egypt and Israel.

Exodus 13:18, 20 & 24:2
So God led the people
around by the desert road
toward the Red Sea.
The Israelites went up out of
Egypt armed for battle.
After leaving Succoth they
camped at Etham on the
edge of the desert. "Tell the
Israelites to turn back
and encamp near Pi
Hahiroth, between Migdol
and the sea. They are to
encamp by the sea,
directly opposite Baal
Zephon.”
Exodus14:21 Then Moses
stretched out his hand over the sea,
and all that night the LORD drove
the sea back with a strong east
wind and turned it into dry land.
The waters were divided. . .
Exodus 14:22
and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall
of water on their right and on their left.
Exodus 14:28 The water flowed back and covered the
chariots and horsemen-- the entire army of Pharaoh that had
followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.
1 Corinthians 10:1,2
For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers,
that our forefathers were all under the cloud and
that they all passed through the sea.
They were all baptized into Moses
in the cloud and in the sea..
Exodus
15:1,21
Then Moses and the
Israelites
sang this song to the LORD:
"I will sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted.
The horse and its rider
he has hurled into the sea.
Miriam sang to them:
"Sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted. The
horse and its rider he
has hurled into the sea."
