School Day 8:25-3:24
 Building opens at 7:00 am
 Students need to exit the building by 4:15 pm (unless
here for clubs/athletics)
 Students report to the cafeteria/gym in the morning
Lunches: Earth~10:54-11:24, Sea~11:27-11:57, Sky~12:58-1:28
 $3.00 per lunch. Milk is $.55.
 Students can pay online or by check.
 Students enter a code for their lunch.
Attendance
 Please call attendance line for an absence or appointment. The
attendance number is 440-835-6337. If unexcused, you will get an
automated message to call our attendance line. This is new this year.
Doctor’s appointment or leaving early:
 Parents MUST enter through the front of the building and sign students
out of school in the main office. Students returning to class DO NOT
require a parent signature.
Gym Uniforms
 Uniforms are required by September 15th
 New uniforms are available! The cost for a complete uniform is $20.00.
Proceeds will be used to support our Demons Club Athletic Boosters.
We are transitioning this year to new uniforms; therefore, older uniforms
may still be worn.
Immunization
 Appropriate immunizations must be completed by ALL 7th
Graders no later than September 8th
Medication
 Medication, both prescription and over-the-counter, must be
kept in the office and be accompanied with a form for
administering medication.
 The form is available in the office and on the LBMS webpage.
Academic Classes
 All class are 55 minutes in length
 Academic Assist is 25-30 minutes
Academic Assist
 Academic assist is an opportunity for students to meet
with their teachers if there is a need.
Intervention
 Students requiring more intensive academic assistance in
English Language Arts and/ or Math will be assigned to an
Intervention class.
Focus of PBIS
 To create a positive classroom and school climate that
fosters being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn
 The core values of RESPECT, RESPONSIBILTY, SAFETY, AND
EXCELLENCE are essential life skills and behaviors all
students are expected to demonstrate at LBMS
 Behavioral expectations are explicit and posted throughout
the school
Positive Referral Forms
 Students and Staff who consistently demonstrate these
positive behaviors will be acknowledged and rewarded




This year we will be implementing Student - Student
Misconduct and behaviors that disrupt school,
cause damage, or violate the rights of other will
be met with a consequence
 Similar to “strikes” received at DIS, we have “demerits”
 Students who earn 3,6,9,or 12 demerits will be required to
attend Wednesday morning detention from 7:50-8:20.
 Parents will receive a green notification sheet of the detention;
requiring a signature
 Student who earns 15, 18, or 21 demerits will be required to
attend a 3 hour Friday School at Westlake High School
 A student who earns 24 or more demerits may be suspended
 Example of earned
 Disrupting Class ~ 1
 Defacing Property ~ 3
Some behaviors may constitute a more severe punishment
 Cell phones and electronic devices MAY be used in the
cafeteria before school.
 Cell phones and various devices may be used in class, IF
the teacher allows these devices to be used as part of
the lesson ~ Ask if you aren’t sure!
 Cell phones and electronic devices MAY NOT be used at
lunch.
 Students must sign and abide by the acceptable use
policy, and adhere to classroom rules. Failure to comply
may result in having the electronic device (and possibly
privileges) taken away.
 Please be EXTREMELY cautious with your electronics.
Keep them locked up or with you. You are responsible
for your personal cell phone and devices
Take PRIDE in your Appearance and Dress for Success!
YU MAY NOT WEAR:
Tank tops, spaghetti straps, or cap sleeves
Pants, shorts, or skirts with rips or holes
Short shorts or short skirts ~Follow the finger tip rule
If you wear leggings or tights, your shirt MUST reach your
fingertips
 Shirts that show your midriff (if you lift your arms, and your
stomach shows, do not wear it)
 Pants that are baggy and do not stay at your waist




If you are not sure…don’t wear it
~ We do our best to enforce the appearance code
consistently.



We will distribute schedules in a few minutes. Please
note that all information needed to be verified
through Registration Gateway in order to pick-up
schedules.
Please check your locker combination and location
today.
If you have questions about your schedule please go
to the guidance office. They will be in contact in the
next few days to adjust schedules as needed.
